Meet Bethany

pronouns: she/her

Hi there! My name is Bethany. I’m a Master of Social Work student at UNC Charlotte.

About Me

I am committed to supporting children and adults as they heal, grow, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. My life experiences and studies have shaped a passion for working with clients who are living with disabilities, chronic illness, or neurodivergence, as well as those healing from spiritual abuse or religious trauma. I view therapy as a collaborative process and draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and narrative therapy. My practice is grounded in a belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person and guided by compassion, humility, and respect.

My Education & Credentials

My Therapy Approach

You’ll have autonomy and control.

Everything we do together is built around your needs and tailored to you being in the driver’s seat. I’m right alongside you, but every step will be anchored in your comfort and direction.

Holistic and Strengths-Focused

As a therapist, my priority is to help you feel seen and understood, which includes every part of you and the larger systems that impact your life. We will spend time not only on where you want to grow, but also focusing on the strength you already hold within yourself!

Grounded in Empathy and Understanding

Our work together will focus on how I can support you in your growth, which often starts by facilitating a better understanding of yourself. We’ll work together to explore your roots from a place of compassion and patience.
